I qualified as a holistic therapist having studied at Coleg Morgannwg as a mature student in June 2006. I have VTCT qualifications in Holistic Therapies (Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Swedish Massage), Anatomy and Physiology, Sauna and Steam, and Health and Safety.

I have a Diploma in Indian Head Massage and am certified in Hopi Ear Candling, Hot Stones and Priadara Thai Method. I have also attended several Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) workshops and seminars and other holistic courses to enhance my skills. I am also educated to degree level in Psychology.

I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and International Professional Therapists International (IPTI) and am insured with both Therapy Insurance Services and Axa Insurance UK plc.

Upon qualifying in June 2006 I worked as a spa therapist at a four star hotel in the city centre of Cardiff for nine months, and have also been employed as a spa therapist at another four star hotel in the Vale of Glamorgan for a further nine months.

Whilst still employed in the Hotel Spa's I established my own business Holistic Remedies with Rachel in November 2006 and currently operate from a salon and clinic in Birchgrove(Cardiff). I also provide mobile and corporate service treatments. I have hosted my own stand as a holistic therapist offering taster treatments at holistic shows and have also worked with other therapists on the FHT stand. I have conducted presentations on aromatherapy and its benefits to relieve stress with the local council and I am also involved with Cardiff University promoting holistic therapies on a practical level offering taster treatments during health promotion weeks for students.

The treatments I can offer currently include; aromatherapy, swedish massage, reflexology, indian head massage, hopi ear candling, thai steam massage, hot stone therapy, detox/anti-cellulite massage treatments, foot treatments and facials.

Baby/Infant Massage is now available. I am now fully qualified and insured to teach parents on a one to one or in a group setting. Available for babies from six weeks.
